Let's Strengthen Your Inner Queen


Dear Friend,


Are you asking yourself, “am I a queen?” YASS!! You are! Praise Jesus Christ because through him, God adopted you (Ephesians 1:5). YOU! The freshman in college, the military wife, the nurse, the waitress, the CEO, the mother, the one constantly bullied, the one whose family doesn’t agree with her choices, the one struggling with insecurities, the one who thinks life is going nowhere, the one struggling with depression and suicide, the one overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. I have news for you, friend. You are heirs with Christ the King, thus you are a queen.


“Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory (Romans 8:17).”

The day you said and believed with all your heart, “Yes! Jesus is Lord” and baptized in the water where the Holy Spirit descended within you… BOOM! You have been dubbed QUEEN. You are a child of God. You are destined for something greater than rare jewels or fancy garments, but for greatness for the glory of our God.


“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will (Ephesians 1:4-5).”


Go ahead and stop those whispers from Satan picking on your insecurities, holding you back from greatness, and telling you that you are not enough, or even… too much. Look back at the Bible verse above. God Almighty chose you to be holy and blameless in his sight. We have been adopted through Jesus Christ not because he had to, or he was guilt into doing so. He was never hesitant because you were too this or that. No. He adopted us in accordance with his PLEASURE and WILL. He wants you. He enjoys you. All of you. Every freckle on your face or every curly wild hair on your head. He chose it. Even through all the mental breakdowns and brokenness. He chose you.


Now, it may seem like nothing has changed. You still have that test next week or you job still calls you to come in at 7 AM on Monday morning. But girl, you have changed! You got the Holy Spirit in you. Before Jesus began his world altering ministry, he was first baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on him (Luke 3:21-23). Do not dabble in the belief that nothing has changed. We cannot even fathom what God can do because it also says in Ephesians 3:20, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”


Do not underestimate the power of God the Almighty and the Holy Spirit within you. The Holy Spirit is not a weak member of the Holy Trinity. We can never fully understand or imagine the power of God. Even when we’re convinced we’ve imagined every scenario of any situation that our continuous, 20 thoughts in two seconds, multitasking brains can conjure, God can do more. The Bible doesn’t say just one or two ways but immeasurably more. The Holy Spirit, sent by the Father and the Son, sanctifies you, blesses you, and advocates for you. I cannot fully even begin to comprehend his bountifulness, and I certainly cannot fully describe it in a blog post. Praise that God blessed us with his Word to speak for himself!

 

Side Note

Girl, I can’t even tell you (I’m sure you can relate) how many times I have planned out and stressed about my future. It almost never happens the way I think it will. Even my alternative plans don’t make the cut. Whenever God leads me to his path instead of mine, it’s better than I could ever imagine. I always think: “Man, if I could tell past Reena to chillout,” or “I wonder what future Reena this time next year is doing.” Or even the daunting, anti-I.N.D.E.P.E.N.D.E.N.T. phrase, “I shouldn’t have worried about it and let God be God.”

 

Unfortunately, friend, I can’t strengthen your inner queen. Nor am I writing to you to give you all the answers. Nor am I saying that you can do it by yourself with enough yoga or healthy eating or feng shui or self help books. I’m writing to remind you to go to the Creator. Bring it to him. Pray to him. He is your Mighty Father. He has sent you the Holy Spirit, your personal advocate. You cannot strengthen yourself alone nor can anyone else do it for you. God strengthens you. Praise that the Lord, the ruler of the universe, the maker of the stars and the stopper of storms, always takes time to be with you.


“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17).”

 

Disclaimer

It will not be a quick fix. But praise God, because he knows this. Remember, he predestined and chose you for adoption. Have faith that he loves you so much that he sent his one and only Son to die for you. Don’t believe the lie from Satan that his love stops when you become saved. God blessed you with the Gift of the Holy Spirit to strengthen your inner being, your inner queen for eternity. You are a queen, because God chose you to be a queen. So, girl, live like it!
